  Disappointed yet again.... last time we went the food was terrible cold took way to long but ice cream was good. Tonight we decided to just go to the window and get ice cream. Two people ahead of us, its taking a long time I assume the gentleman at the window has a large order. Nope 15 min later the Male worker, might be the manager, finally takes his order... literally that customer was at that window for more than 15 minutes just to put in his order. Meanwhile you see servers sitting there on there phones. Then the next woman goes up and the worker tells her to wait a minute. 5 minutles later we see him getting ice cream for another table no gloves on handling food after handling cash. Woman in line ahead of us still waiting and now there are about 6 people behind us. At that point I left and advised the people behind us they would be better off going in side and getting a table because we had already waited over 25 min. Unacceptable!!! Especially for a Friday evening.

  26+ years ago I was scouting around for grad schools and while on an interview trip to HMS I had the good fortune of stopping in at a Friendly's. I was met with such a happy pleasant server I thought this must be a cool place.  It in part helped me finally decide where I would go.  Met my wife, had 4 kids and generally loved the area. Just had to drive my daughter to the train and on my way back decided to stop in for a late lunch.  Sat down and got to see one of the finest examples of humanity by your staff at the Stoneham MA restaurant. An elderly woman, 97 years old, had gotten disoriented and lost on a drive to a hairdresser appointment and stopped in. Melody and another server whose name I didn't get helped her in and sat her down.  Got her a coffee and helped call her son to pick her up.  While waiting they came over and chatted with her keeping her company and relaxed her as she had been driving for hours and distraught. They even got her a little ice cream to help calm her nerves. If your mother or grandmother was ever in trouble these are the people you want helping them. Kudos to the staff at the Stoneham Friendly's.  They are a terrific example of humanity and if I could give them an award for kindness I would happily do so.

  This location needs to hire more help. Every time we have visited the place is swamped! We waited for 20 min before we were served. Our waitress Maria was very nice. I feel bad for them. The carpets need to be replaced, they look like they are the same one from the 80s. walls need to be cleaned windows have cobwebs. Kids and husband love eating here though.

  Delicious food. Monster shake 2as sooo sweet and sooo delicious!! Great service!

  The hostess was incredible. She got us a seat right away and took our order promptly. She had told us a party of 14 had just come in ahead of us. We were concerned about getting timely service. The hostess got us in and out in no time.
